So I’ve been hinting at this for awhile now…and it’s finally here…the Freshly Picked giveaway! Freshly Picked was oh so kind to send me a pair of moccs to review, and another pair to give to one lucky babe! I fell in love with these little beauts several months ago and lusted after them for awhile before giving in and purchasing E a pair. Then another pair and then another! (much to my husband’s dismay) I will tell you that I love them, and E can’t get them off her feet so therefore she must love them too!
They are stinking adorable. Every time we leave the house in them, we get compliments from some strange passerby, on how adorable they are. They are available in a smorgasbord of colors, that little boys and girls can wear with no problem. Seasonal limited edition colors are also released to ensure you are on trend with the color of the moment.
The moccs are made of leather or suede, and are soft soled, which is good for a new babe learning to walk. It gives little nugget’s toes the ability to flex and keeps the arch natural, allowing the baby to practice good walking habits. E isn’t quite walking yet, but has no problem standing up in them, and moving along the furniture while rocking her moccs! Not to mention I love the smell of new leather…
These little beauties are handmade in the good ole USA! Anything made in America is good news I support a mom-trepreneur and can appreciate Susan (the momma behind FP) for wanting to help support her family with a genius product made for her little!
The moccasins have a little elastic band inside, giving mom an easy quick way to put them on, and E a terrible time to taking them off. I can throw these on in a snap and I know they will stay on. She tugs and tugs to no avail, this is amazing for any baby shoe, as most are a pain in my hiney to put on her and then she rips them off in .5 seconds.
Freshly Picked moccs are “unapologetically expensive” Susan Petersen has said before, and I will say it again. It’s in the quality really, sure I could go to the local Target or other mega market retailer and pick E up a pair of shoes. I just don’t think the quality would be the same, and they would more than likely have been outsourced from another country. (possibly made by small children making them with their own hands) I haven’t paid full price for any of the moccs we have, and I see $45 as a reasonable price for the quality. Ask my husband, he will tell you a different story I’m sure.
Sometimes it can be difficult to tell which shoe goes on which foot. There is an ever so slight curve to each shoe and you have to flip it over to the bottom to see it. 3 of the pairs I’ve had no problem telling which is which, and the one pair I did I marked an L inside the shoe with a Sharpie and went about my business…
Now for the part you’ve all been waiting for…THE GIVEAWAY!
